The Centre Scoop Vol 3, 2019

Part of a network of CUCs developing across New South Wales, the Far West Centre has surpassed the targets originally set by the key funder, the New South Wales Government, with student numbers climbing weekly.

Student numbers have surpassed the initial targets set, with 206 students utilising the Centre to date, over 300% more than anticipated.

Chair of CUC Far West’s Board of Directors, Michael Williams, says the results are a positive indicator for Broken Hill’s future: “The Centre is succeeding in supporting our local students to achieve their aspirations, validating the hard work by a huge number of people, from the initial discussions and submissions to the redevelopment and now the first anniversary. We will continue to work with our students and our communities to ensure the Centre grows and meets their needs in years to come.”
